While K-Pop has been taking over the world, Korean hip-hop has also gradually started gaining international popularity, with K-hip-hop artists continuously expanding their presence in the global market.
With the growing interest from fans and listeners worldwide, Spotify recently launched ‘KrOWN – ’its official global Korean hip-hop playlist formerly known as ‘K-Hip-Hop +82. I was asked to direct and produce a hero film. The film takes its global listeners on a journey to explore the roots of the genre, and sheds light on the historical background, culture, and unique characteristics.
